About The Edition

Made during the misery of the Covid lockdowns, they manage to suggest such opposing feelings, of tragedy and vivacity. Perhaps, this reflects an inspiration point. Clarke tells how the series reminds him of his late friend, Linda McCartney who would throw poppy seeds out of her car window so flowers could brighten future journeys.

The series ingeniously melds a rich tapestry of textures, hues, and shapes to weave a captivating visual narrative. Clarke's daring brushwork and intricate layering unveil a mesmerizing interplay of light and dark, immersing observers in introspection. Across the collection, he captures ephemeral instants, faded recollections, and unspoken aspirations, beckoning onlookers to delve into the allure of the enigmatic and seek solace in life's enigmas. The Vesper series stands as a testament to art's timeless potency in stirring profound sentiments and transcending cultural divides, presenting a metamorphic voyage through the depths of the human spirit.

Clarke said every image was a prayer. It is a prayer to the fragile beauty of the living.
